KpH Partners With Uplyfted To Reuse and Rehome Carpet Tiles
KpH is proud to announce its partnership with Uplyfted, a specialist organisation transforming how carpet tiles are reused, renewed, and rehomed at scale.
Every year in the UK over 8mn m2 of carpet tile waste is created and disposed of via landfill or incineration. Uplyfted is providing an accessible and sustainable alternative, where treated carpet tiles are instead reinstalled by social housing providers and community initiatives across the UK.
KpH is working with Uplyfted to facilitate the strip out of tiles from commercial projects across London and the South.
Carpet tiles are carefully removed, stacked and palletised by the KpH team before being collected by Uplyfted and transported to their storage facility for processing. Every single reusable carpet tile is rigorously cleaned and inspected before being supplied to social housing providers and community initiatives.
The restored tiles are providing warmth and comfort to residents, reducing energy costs, improving noise control and enhancing insulation in hundreds of homes throughout the country.

Uplyfted’s carbon assessment, conducted by Liverpool John Moores University, found that their renewed carpet generates less than 1 kg of CO2e per m2 compared to 8kg to 10kg per m2 for new carpet.
