KpH projects shortlisted at CCS National Site Awards
KpH has once again been recognised for our dedication to raising standards in construction, with three projects nominated at this year’s prestigious Considerate Constructors Scheme (CCS) National Site Awards.
The standards and practices observed at all 3 project sites, Broadgate Quarter (pictured), 10 Piccadilly and a commercial tower in the City of London have been consistently rated “excellent”.
At Broadgate Quarter, adjacent to Liverpool Street, strip out and enabling works were delivered across 5 floors while the building remained occupied. With a strong focus on minimising environmental impact and reducing landfill, over 45 tonnes of materials, including carpet tiles, were identified for reuse. The project prioritised giving back to the local community by supporting a homeless charity and improving their communal garden facility.
At 10 Piccadilly, a 140,000 sq ft landmark building located at the heart of Piccadilly Circus, community engagement was key while works, including internal demolition, atrium glazing removal, and lift and lift shaft removal, were undertaken in readiness for the building’s full refurbishment. The team were in regular communication with neighbours to minimise disruption and maintain access to the surrounding shops, restaurants and businesses. The project team supported local charities, including those tackling homelessness and food poverty.
In the City Of London the team delivered strip out works across 12 storeys within a partially occupied commercial building. During the course of the 3 month project the project team hosted a work experience placement and student insight day, providing young people with a valuable insight into a future career in construction.

The CCS National Site Awards celebrate the projects, individuals and organisations that have demonstrated exceptional performance in protecting the workforce, respecting the community, and caring for the environment.
All nominated sites will be assessed and awarded a gold, silver or bronze standard at regional award ceremonies taking place later this year.
