Opening Doors to Good Work: KpH Joins Workwhile Panel
KpH Managing Director, Lyndsey West, recently joined industry leaders as a panellist at a Workwhile showcase event.
This was delivered in partnership with client The Crown Estate, exploring the role employers play in creating access to good work and supporting inclusive growth across the UK.

Bringing together organisations from across different sectors, the event focused on how businesses can play a more active role in addressing barriers to employment and creating meaningful, long-term career opportunities.
Workwhile, a charity dedicated to improving access to good work, partners with employers to create opportunities that enable individuals to thrive in sustainable, fulfilling roles. Their approach goes beyond job creation — focusing on quality, progression, and ensuring people are supported to succeed in the workplace.
The discussion highlighted the importance of culture, leadership, and access – recognising that good work is shaped not only by opportunity, but by the environments in which people are supported to grow and develop.
A key theme was the role employers can play in driving meaningful change – particularly in supporting SMEs, creating apprenticeship opportunities, and enabling greater use of levy transfer to open up access to training and employment.
The event also reinforced the importance of collaboration, with a shared focus on how organisations can work together to create more inclusive pathways into the industry and deliver lasting impact.
Hearing directly from KpH apprentice Aaron Matthews, who began his apprenticeship later in life, provided a powerful reminder that accessible routes into the industry are not limited by age or background.
This aligns closely with KpH’s commitment to social value – supporting people into work, investing in skills, and contributing to a more inclusive and sustainable workforce.
Lyndsey West, Managing Director at KpH, said:
The discussion really reinforced something I feel strongly about — creating opportunities for young people and those who might not otherwise see a path into our industry. Talent isn’t limited by background or age, but access often is. As employers, we have a responsibility to open those doors and support people to step through them.
