We were the first deconstruction and strip out contractor in our industry to partner with Saint-Gobain on their Glass Forever programme, the groundbreaking initiative diverting glass from landfill and remanufacturing new, recycled glass.
Working closely with Saint-Gobain we implemented a sustainable, first of its kind, end-of-life glass recovery on deconstruction and refurbishment projects. We spearheaded the “break-out table” methodology – a safe, fast, and efficient process which, crucially, keeps the glass contaminant free. It is a methodology that is now widely adopted and has become the industry norm. Since its start we have saved 675 tonnes of glass, equivalent to 642TCO2e.
